Shipping & Delivery

Production Time

#

Production starts the moment you confirm your proof. From confirmation to dispatch: 2 to 4 working days.

If you've booked our paid design service, the clock starts once you've confirmed every proof in the order — not just the first one. We don't dispatch anything until the full design is signed off.

Express Delivery — FedEx

#

Every order ships FedEx Express. Typical FedEx transit time from dispatch is around 2 working days for most destinations.

End-to-end from proof confirmation to your door is generally 4 to 6 working days. Tracking is sent automatically the moment your kit leaves the building.

A cheaper standard option may follow later — for now, every Backyard order is express.

Customs Handled For You

#

Our production is in Germany. With the UK no longer in the EU, every UK order crosses a customs border — but you won't notice.

We ship with full customs paperwork pre-cleared, the duty fees are paid by us, and the process is automatic. No customs invoice on your doormat, no surprise fees, no calls from the courier asking you to pay before delivery.

Same model for our other international destinations: duties prepaid by Backyard, VAT included in the price you saw at checkout.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated by destination and shown at checkout — the number on screen is the number you pay. No surprises after the order is placed.

Combined Orders

#

If you've ordered more than one item, everything in the order ships together as a single FedEx parcel. We don't dispatch parts of an order separately.

Production Schedule and Holidays

#

We sometimes produce on Saturday and Sunday — not as a regular promise, but the printers don't always sleep.

Formal production cut-offs only happen around major holidays like Christmas. When that's the case, we post the cut-off dates in the shop news and on our social channels well in advance.

Where We Ship

#

We ship FedEx Express worldwide. A small number of territories — including the Isle of Man — are not on our courier's route. Your checkout will flag any restrictions for your delivery address before you pay.

If Something Goes Wrong

#

Damaged in transit, missing parts, printing issues — we're generous when things go wrong. Reach out to us with your order number and a photo of the issue and we'll sort a replacement.
