Not your average supermoto
If you've spent any time in the European supermoto scene, you've probably seen Locci's bikes before you've seen his face. The SME Crew rider has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of what a supermoto should look like, and his latest Husqvarna 701 build is no exception.
"I never wanted my bike to look like everyone else's," Locci told us. "Graphics are the first thing people notice. Before they hear your exhaust, before they see you ride, they see your graphics. So why would you run stock?"
The build
Locci's 701 runs a full BYD custom kit in a black, neon, and chrome colourway that was designed from scratch in our configurator. Every panel is covered. The radiator shrouds flow into the side panels, the front fender matches the rear, and the number plates tie the whole thing together with a clean, aggressive look.
But it's not just about looks. Locci rides hard. Wheelies, stoppies, knee-down corners on public roads (we don't condone it, but we respect the commitment). His graphics take a beating, and that's exactly why he runs BYD. "I've had other brands' stickers peel after one wash. These things stay on. I've had my current kit for six months of hard riding and it still looks fresh."
More than a rider, a creator
What makes Locci different from most riders is his approach to content. Every ride is a shoot. Every build is a story. His Instagram is a mix of raw riding footage, cinematic edits, and behind-the-scenes looks at his bike builds. That's the kind of energy we love at BYD.
"The configurator is addictive," he admits. "I've probably designed 30 different kits before settling on this one. Being able to see exactly how it looks on my specific bike model before ordering is a game changer."
